Desenzano del Garda - Economy
In the past the economy of Desenzano was based on fishing thanks to the abundance of fish in the waters of Lake Garda and during the period of Venetian rule it became an important commercial centre. Currently the economy here is mainly based on cultural tourism, but sport and leisure also attract many tourists.
